How do I add a new driver to the policy?
You can either:

be required to provide details of the new driver such as name, age,
and driving experience. You will be provided with a quote for your
revised premium if applicable.

How do I make changes to my policy?

FAQs : Rates
How do you determine my rates?
By taking a basic amount of information from you we can determine your
risk level. Factors such as occupation, age, driving experience, type of
vehicle, engine capacity, age of vehicle, and vehicle value will influence
your premium.

What makes my rates go up?
Among the many things that can affect your rates are:

Increasing
the sum insured

Adding
or changing drivers on your policy, particularly young drivers.

Causing
an accident or being convicted of a violation such as speeding..

Modification
of the vehicle engine

Changes
in cover.

What discounts do you offer?
The main discount is the No Claim Discount. It means you pay less premium
based on how many years of insurance you’ve had without making a claim.
We give a ‘No Claim’ Discount when:
You
may also be eligible for an extra discount if you have more than one
vehicle insured with Consumers’ Guarantee Insurance.

FAQs : Payments
What
are the payment options?
You can pay your premium in full, or in up to 3 installments with no extra
charge.

Where
and how should payments be made?
You can either:

Send
a cheque or postal order in the mail, or
-
Visit
the office where we can accept all major credit cards, cheque, postal
orders, or cash.

Will
I receive a notice to let me know when payments are due?
At
your renewal, CGI will send a renewal notice which will state your revised
premium for the upcoming year and when it is due. We will also place a
reminder call.
